ICP Generator

Answer nine short questions and we will email you a written ideal customer profile you can use with your team.

Turn customer knowledge into a usable ICP

The ICP Generator asks about the customers you serve best, the problem they need solved, the buying situation, company characteristics, decision makers, disqualifiers, and the evidence that signals a strong fit. It organizes those answers into a structured ideal customer profile for targeting and qualification work.

Use specific observations from customers and sales conversations. A narrow profile with clear exclusions gives marketing and sales teams more useful guidance than a broad description built from assumptions.

What to do with the result

  • Compare current leads and customers against the profile and note where the definition breaks.
  • Use the buying triggers and problems to sharpen campaign and landing-page language.
  • Turn fit signals and disqualifiers into documented lead-qualification criteria.
  • Review the profile with the people who sell to and support these customers before automating decisions around it.

Review the profile as evidence changes

Treat the generated profile as a working definition. Revisit it when win and loss interviews, customer retention, sales-cycle data, or a new offer changes what strong fit looks like. Keep the criteria specific enough that another person can apply them consistently.

Give the generator evidence it can use

Answer for one offer and the customers it serves today. Describe the buyer’s operating problem, what usually causes them to act and who can approve the purchase. A concrete example is more useful than a broad label such as “small businesses.”

If you do not know an answer, identify the uncertainty rather than inventing a market. You can describe your best current hypothesis. Avoid entering personal customer details or material you do not have permission to share.

Review the result before using it

The nine-question flow delivers the generated profile by email. Treat it as a working draft for customer research and lead-review criteria. Check proposed industries, company characteristics and exclusions against actual wins, losses and sales conversations.

For example, “needs automation” is difficult to verify from a lead record. “Receives enquiries in several inboxes and manually re-enters them into a CRM” gives a researcher something specific to check. The profile does not establish purchase intent or promise that a prospect is qualified.
